Tennis is played on a field which surface is grassy, asphalt, clay or can be covered with artificial grass or other approved surface. Singles are played on a field that is 23.77 meters long and 8.23 meters wide. For doubles, there is a special added lane on both sides and the lane is 1.37 m wide. It is divided in the middle by nets hanging from a rope or a metal rope with maximum diameter of 0.8 cm. The ends are fastened to either the top surface or run through the upper surface of two columns, which have either a square cross-section on the side with of maximum 15 cm, or circular cross-section with a diameter of maximum 15 cm. These columns may exceed the hanging rope of the net with a maximum of 2.5 cm. The centers of the columns are 0,914 m distant on each side from the lane that borders the court. The columns must be high enough for the metal rope or the cord routed over their upper surface to be 1.07 m above the ground.

Clay

RECourt tennis surface is typical natural red clay. Fundamentally, it differs in its underlying of compositions from the typical cinder bed. It is a revolutionary and proprietary system under the trade mark of our company RECourt. The RECourt underlying is made from pure and sound brick crushed material and it creates a solid water-permeable and homogeneous system together with a ratio of several functional admixtures. Our long-time research and testing have culminated in construction of a new clay surface RECourt that meets the most stringent ecological and hygienic requirements of the 21 century, unlike previously used clay surfaces with hygienically unsuitable cinder bed.

Classic Clay – artificial clay

It is an Australian artificial tennis surface that looks like typical clay. Playing tennis on this surface is as good as it was clay, because the ball bounces well and the players are able to slide flawlessly like they do on clay. The game is played on perfectly flat surface which is made of thickened filling from fine-grained sand that is red like clay. Red dense polypropylene carpeting makes the underlying and it is laid on the concrete or asphalt.

There are some other great properties of the surface. For example, its big wear hardness or that you can extend the season from the early spring to the late autumn without the surface being sensitive to freeze and temperature changes. Classic clay requires only minimal care. The surface of the whole court leaks water perfectly. Even after some heavy rain, it is possible to continue the game within a few minutes. An exacting maintenance in spring is not necessary like it is with the regular clay courts. You do not need to sprinkle it or mark the lines.

Artificial turf

Artificial turf filled with silica sand is a great surface for household, recreational even for half-competitive games. It is a good option for those, who want to play comfortably, keep the court well maintained or experience a very good feeling of matching the court to the family houses, multifunctional grounds or sports clubs.
